Last updated: 2026-05-24

1. Independence

PacketMentor is an independent education and mentorship service. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, certified by, or otherwise officially connected to Cisco Systems, Inc. or any of its affiliates in any way. We are not a Cisco Authorized Learning Partner, a Cisco Networking Academy, or any other officially designated Cisco partner.

2. Trademark attribution

The following names, when used on this site, are trademarks or registered trademarks of Cisco Systems, Inc. and/or its affiliates in the United States and other countries, and are used here solely for descriptive, nominative, and editorial purposes:

  • Cisco® — Cisco Systems, Inc.
  • CCNA® and Cisco Certified Network Associate®
  • CCNP® and Cisco Certified Network Professional®
  • Packet Tracer
  • Cisco Modeling Labs™ (CML)
  • Cisco Networking Academy®
  • Other Cisco product, service, and technology names

Our use of these names is fair use, intended only to accurately describe the certifications, exams, and simulators our mentorship program prepares students for.

3. We do NOT

  • Issue Cisco certifications. Only Cisco grants Cisco certifications.
  • Administer Cisco exams. Exams are delivered by Cisco's authorized testing partners (e.g., Pearson VUE).
  • Distribute, reference, or train students on actual Cisco exam questions, "brain dumps," leaked exam content, or any material that violates Cisco's Certification and Confidentiality Agreement.
  • Reproduce Cisco copyrighted curriculum, courseware, or instructor materials.
  • Use Cisco logos, Cisco product imagery, or any visual Cisco brand assets on this site.
  • Claim to be "official", "authorized", "certified by Cisco", or any similar implication.

4. We DO

  • Teach exam topics published by Cisco at learningnetwork.cisco.com.
  • Build original lab topologies that run on Cisco's free / community simulators (Packet Tracer, CML, EVE-NG).
  • Point students to Cisco's own official documentation, configuration guides, and the Cisco Learning Network as primary references.
  • Encourage students to follow Cisco's Code of Business Conduct and the Cisco Certification Confidentiality Agreement throughout their preparation and exam.

5. Outcome claims

Networking certification outcomes depend on the student's effort, prior knowledge, and time commitment. We make no guarantees about exam results, salary outcomes, or job placement. Our "pass-or-keep-going" commitment means we continue working with you at no additional fee, not that passing is guaranteed in any fixed timeframe.

6. Reporting concerns

If you believe any content on this site infringes a Cisco trademark, copyright, or certification policy, please email info@packetmentor.com with the specific URL and the nature of the concern. We respond within 7 business days and will remove or correct content where appropriate.
